Modélisation de la quantité et de la qualité des algues benthiques (périphyton). Ma recherche plus récente est centrée sur 1) les effets du développement résidentiel sur les communautés littorales des lacs des Laurentides, 2) la distribution des algues filamenteuses et des cyanobactéries benthiques dans le Saint-Laurent et les implications de leur prolifération sur la chimie et la trophie du fleuve, 3) la réponse des communautés de diatomées à la pollution métallique et leur utilisation comme indicateurs précoces de la récupération des écosystèmes contaminés.

Research interest

Distribution and abundance of benthic algae (periphyton). In particular, my recent research is centered on 1) the effects of residential development on the littoral algae and invertebrates of Quebec lakes, 2) the distribution of filamentous algae and benthic cyanobacteria in the St. Lawrence River and implications of their proliferation on the chemistry and trophy of the river, 3) the response of diatom communities to metal pollution and their utilisation as early indicators of ecosystem recovery.
